Our good friends at London Tourism Cooperative, brought to you by made, have launched their 2021 Children’s Art Competition as part of the Festival of Hope. Because let’s face it, right now we all need a little bit of hope, and experiences to look forward to!

The time in lockdown has created a sense of unity in our community and the London Tourism Cooperative want to mark this by asking young talented artists to enter their exciting competition. Is there a budding artist in the family? Enter for your chance to win a VIP family trip to London!

Festival of Hope 2021 Children’s Art Competition

Included in the prize is seeing your artwork exhibited at London’s The O2, two nights accommodation in an Edwardian Hotel, a Visitor Oyster card for travel on public transport in London, a Family River Roamer ticket for all-day unlimited travel with Uber Boat by Thames Clippers, The Original Tour hop-on hop-off sightseeing bus tour of London, admission to KidZania – a scaled city replica of real life for children from 4-14 years and lunch at the iconic Hard Rock Cafe – the original rock and roll restaurant serving up Legendary burgers and more! For older children, there’s a family ticket to Sherlock: The Official Live Game, an escape room based on the television programme Sherlock, tickets to Up at The O2 – a climb over the top of the iconic The O2 building and a half-day of work experience in the Dewynters Creative Studio

Who can enter?

There are three age groups (0-6, 7-11 and 12-19 years old) so households can submit more than one entry,  increasing the chances of winning.

What do I need to do?

Create a piece of art inspired by all things British, from the Clap for Carers to our diverse ‘national spirit’ – let your imagination run wild! There are two categories to choose from: ‘real life’ entries using the more traditional approach of paints, pastels, acrylics,  pens or pencils, and a ‘go wild’ category – for those of you who want to go wild’ in every sense of the word. To enter this category, experiment with textiles,  sculpture, recycled and eco-friendly materials, collages  – anything goes!

The competition is organised by the London Tourism  Cooperative (LTC), a not-for-profit tourism marketing consortium focused on driving London’s tourism and hospitality industries’ recovery from the COVID-19  pandemic.
